Is Farage right to blame the housing crisis in the UK on migration?

In 2023 net immigration into the UK was 685,000, and runs at about this rate year on year. That’s enough every year to add a city the size of Leeds, estimated by World Population Review at 536,000 in 2024) with a few tens of thousands left over. How can the UK be expected to provide - every year - additional housing for a city that size just to provide for immigrants, without also taking into account the natural growth of the population? Additionally, Leeds alone has 46 schools for 16–18 year olds, 73 secondary schools, and 249 primary schools, 7 NHS hospitals plus about 100 GP practices, and so on, an indication of the additional facilities and services required every year to deal with this population increase. Nigel Farage is right to blame immigration, not only for the housing crisis, but for the shortages in so many other areas as well.
